Lizzie and I just finished our second dinner at The Hollow in Columbia, and it was absolute perfection from start to finish. We were there for Valentine’s Day, and the experience confirmed exactly why we’re already planning our next trip back.We started the evening by sharing the Wild Game Tasting Board paired with the Duck Fat fried potatoes—a combination I cannot recommend highly enough. For our main courses, I ordered the "Field & Stream" while Lizzie went with the Pumpkin Stuffed ravioli. The presentation of every dish was stunning, but the flavor was where the kitchen truly shined. My Elk steak was cooked to a flawless medium-rare, which is exactly the level of precision you hope for with high-quality game.What truly elevated the night, however, was the service. Our server, Farah, was incredibly attentive throughout the entire meal. She made sure our glasses stayed full and anticipated every need before we even had to ask. We even threw a bit of an "oddball" request her way—asking if she and the chefs would sign our Valentine's menu as a keepsake—and she delivered without hesitation. It is that kind of personal touch and genuine hospitality that makes a restaurant truly stand out.This was only our second visit to The Hollow, but the quality of the food and the warmth of the staff have already made us loyal fans. We are already looking forward to visit number three. If you are looking for a unique, top-tier dining experience in South Carolina, this is absolutely the spot.

I can’t emphasize enough how much we enjoyed dinner! Everything was amazing! The deviled duck egg flight, though, I have to say is…different and more of a “refined” palate. We had our 5 year old with us and she loved the bolognese. Farrah wasSo friendly and personable and helped me decide what to get our daughter. Our daughter totally killed the well bolognese! Farrah came by just the right amount of times, and never while we had just taken a bite or with full mouths. Our drinks were always topped off and she made our first time here that much better. We are definitely returning if all the servers are like Farrah!

10/10 STARS FOR THE HOLLOW!!The online reservation process was simple, removing the stress that often comes with finding a dinner spot in a new city. We were seated immediately by a kind employee. Michael served us, and he was so helpful the whole evening, from sharing the specials with us, to answering questions about the menu, and checking in often! We LOVED the Seafood Arancini, and my husband doesn't normally like seafood! I had the Lamb Chops which were the perfect serving size to leave you full but not stuffed, and the flavor combinations were perfect! My husband got the Rib Duo and that is a meal for AT LEAST 2 adults, and it was very well priced!! We loved the meat, and surprisingly, even the pasta was stellar. Michael recommended the Black Forest Cheesecake, and it was HUGE! I don't like fruity deserts, but my husband I were able to split the cheesecake and get delicious bites for both of us. We recommend this restaurant to everyone, and we will definitely be back! Thank you to all the staff and chefs, especially Michael!
